Just up the street from the house is Jumonville Glen, where
the first shots were fired in the French and Indian War.
Only a few miles away on Route 40 is Fort Necessity and
Braddock's Grave.

Caverns are for you. It is the
largest cave system in Pennsylvania.

| Only half a mile from our front door is The Cross of Christ at Jumonville Christian Camp and Retreat Center. As stated on the plaque, on a clear day you can see 7 counties, 3 states and 50 miles. It is 60 feet tall on an 8 foot pedestal and can be seen from miles around, especially at night. The view from the top, called Dunbar's Knob, is definitely worth the hike to the top. Don't forget your camera! |

| The Winery Good with any meal is a fabulous bottle of wine from Christian W. Klay Winery. Located in nearby Chalk Hill, the winery is a fun place to visit to sip samples of their wonderful wine in their tasting room, or to take stroll amongst the grape vines. Tours may be set up a week in advance and include wine and cheese tasting, guided drive through the vineyard and video on the wine-making process. |
